Bridge to Bridge Rickshaw Challenge

On the 25th May 2012, three pedal rickshaws (one of which will be ridden by VCB member Kieran Murphy) will leave the Clifton Suspension Bridge on a four day journey to Tower Bridge in London. Each rickshaw weighs 120Kg without passengers, and the aim is to carry a person suffering with Multiple Sclerosis in the back of each Rickshaw each day. The aim of all this pedal power is to raise as much money as possible towards the £1million pounds needed to carry out Stem Cell  trials, the first of their kind in the world, happening this year at BrAMS (Bristol and Avon Multiple Sclerosis Centre) in Frenchay Hospital, Bristol. These trials are really important and hold the potential to help thousands of people with MS around the world. Maria, Kieran’s partner, has suffered from MS for nearly 7 years and goes to BrAMS.
