Iron Acton, U102
Cloudy skies and a stiff wind greeted the riders for the last TT in our series. With Lee away running and swimming in Belgium somewhere, Kieran and John took over the reigns with the help of many regulars along with some new helpers. As always thanks for all the efforts helpers and riders put into this series. KIT have their event next week then it’s the VCB vs KIT Comp on the 18th August.

TOACHIM VETS/PS+CYCLEWEAR SERIES
Promoted by Swindon RC on Sunday 10th May
Race Category E (60-64yrs)
Proving you’re never too old to try racing – Nick Tomkins (in I believe his first road race?) rode the LVRC (League of Veteran Racing Cyclists) Road Race promoted by Swindon RC. On the rolling course based around Great Somerford, Wiltshire, he timed his solo escape to perfection, crossing the line alone on the uphill finish just in front of the chasing pack! A massive congratulations from everyone at Velo Club!
Owen Burgess has been representing the club on the TT front this month, headed up with a 9th place in the Gillingham Hilly.
