Deacon does a stormer!

Deacon Cutterham produced a fantastic ride at the Giant CC Cross on the 11th December. He finished an excellent 2nd to local road pro Simon Richardson as well as beating a number of quality riders. Gavin also did a fine ride finishing 6th.

Sigma Sport’s Simon Richardson took victory in round ten of the Western League, promoted by Giant CC at Warmley Forest Country Park in Bristol on Sunday.

The 28-year-old Bristolian finished head and shoulders above his rivals after mastering a very sticky course, with rain and cold conditions making it very much a demanding bike handler’s course.

Leading the field for the seniors race around the first lap was another Bristol-based 28-year-old, Deacon Cutterham (VC Bristol), but by the second lap Richardson took over and continued to build his lead steadily.

By the finish, he was around three minutes ahead of Cutterham in second, while Bath 31-year-old Tavis Walker (Adeo Cadence) was just 15 seconds further back in third spot.

  • 1 Simon Richardson (Sigma Sport-Specialized) 55:00
